Overall, the statistics present the decreasing trend of home cooking through the period, whereas spending time on restaurant meals increased. In The second graph, individuals prefer to have fast food meals instead of sit down at restaurant.
Delving into the details, in 1970, home cooking truly became popular with 90% of families. However, it could not remain stably and moderately lost their favorite of the majority. In the last year of the period, restaurant meals and home cooking accounted for the same percentage with 50% each.
However, fast food meals and stay for meals at restaurants had the same beginning with 20 meals per day in 1970. In 1980, sit – down restaurants rose steadily and got around 33 meals. However, surprisingly, in the following years, fast food meals climbed dramatically and achieved around 90 meals each day. While, sitting down at restaurant achieved around 50 meals a day, lower than 40 meals.
