The two pie charts give the data of the proportion of time among different age groups (18-26 and 60-70 years old) spend on various Internet activities in their leisure time.
Overall, it is obvious that social networking is the one of the most common activities that youngster spend on the Internet, while older people prioritize activities like making bookings for travel or cinema.
First and foremost, social networking account for the larghest percentage of their onling time at 24%, almost one- qarter of the pie chart, while the older generation allocate just 8% of their time. However, in term of making booking for recreational activities such as cinema tickets or travel, the trend is reverse, with the elderly dedicate 29% of their online time to use it, whereas it occupy just only 5% of the 18-26 age group’s time.
In terms of entertainment, the younger group devotes 21% of their time to accessing musics and films, which is slightly higher than the time that elderly spend on it, 17%. Likewise, playing video games is more populer among people who belong to 18-26 age group, accounted for 18%, whereas the activity just makes up only 6% of the older group internet-time. Both groups, however, show the similar patterns in researching data such as health-related topics, with this figure takes up around 20-26% of the time they spent on it, and making online purchases, which accounts for 12% for each age group.
