The graph illustrates the proportion of water used in different aims in several areas around the world.
In general, it is clear that the agricultural use accounts for the largest proportion among different water use in majority of areas. Whereas the industrial use of water in two other areas is the most percentage.
In terms of agricultural use of water, Central Asia ranks the top among six areas with 88%, followed by Africa with 84%. The percentage of agricultural use of water in South East Asia is 81% and it makes up about 70% in the South America. While Europe makes up smallest proportion of agricultural use of water at 32%.
In the case of the industrial use of water, it accounts the largest percentage in Europe and North America, reaching 53% and 48% respectively. While in Central Asia, the industrial use of water constitutes for the smallest number with 5%.
