The charts give information about the percentages of ladies and gentlemen aged between 60 and 64 in occupation in four different countries in the years 1970 and 2000.
Overall, Japan seems to have the greatest number of jobs for both men and women, followed by the USA, Australia, and Belgium, respectively. Furthermore, women had fewer percentages in careers than men in all countries.
In terms of the percentage of men, there was a downward trend from 1970 to 2000. Especially Belgium, with 79 percent in 1970, dramatically fell to only 19 potentialities in 2000. On the contrary, there was no significant change in the period from 2003 to 2006. For instance, Australia reached 18 percent in 1970 and only 1 percent in 2000.
Surprisingly, Belgium stood in second place for male employment in 1970 but ranked the least for female employment in the same year.
In conclusion, the percentage of employment decreased from 1970 to 2000 in every country.
