The given pie chat depicts the total water usage percentage in 1997 and 2007. These data includes the usage of water by the following categories such as food industry, service industry, building industry, household use and manufacturing operations.
In 1997, 48 percentage of water is consumed only by the food industry which has the highest consumption of all. And then the water for household usage is around 19 percent being the second highest. These are followed by the manufacturing sector (15 percent), service industry (13 percent) and building industry (5 percent).
After 10 years, in 2007, there are lot of variations in the total water usage. As we see the total usage by food industry has been reduced by 7 percent and the usage by service industry and household usage has been increased by 12 and 2 percentages. And the consumption by manufacturing sector decreased by 4 percentage.
To summarise, the total water usage by the food industry in 2007 is enormously decreased and the usage by service industry decreasing tremendously.
