The bar chart indicates the spending of nations such as Portugal, US, UK and Italy.
All 4 nations have spent alot of their gdp on their roads and transport system, it goes from 1990 to 2005, According to the chart, Italy has spent the second most on their transportation and roads, they have higher than 15% spent through each year. Portugal, however, have spent the most on their roads, as almost each year they spend around 20% of their budget. Both the UK and the US have similar numbers, as both spent less than 15%.
But if we look at the chart in a more detailed way, we can see how nations like Portugal has spent almost double the US has spent. This may be because of how the US is more developed in their transportation system than Portugal. We can see a similar pattern with Italy and UK, as again, UK is more developed than Italy.
In conclusion, All 4 nations spend a substantial amount on transport and roads each year, leading to a good amount of development each year.
