The given chart compares data about the expenditures on road and transport systems in four countries namely; Italia, Portugal, UK and the USA, from 1990 to 2005.
Overall, it can be conspicuously seen that Italy and Portugal were active in investing money over the whole given period of time while UK and the USA were least countries which spent little money on roads and transport.
In the initial year , in 1990, Portugal allocated above 25% whilst Italy above 20%, however; UK and the USA showed little percentages (around 10 and 12%).The same rate was true in 1995 , for Portugal which had higher percentages from Italy and Portugal more than 20 percent correspondingly ;however, UK was under the reach of one in ten , while the USA was able to reach 10%
The percentage of Italia’s expense on road and transport was the highest; however, Portugal’s was slightly less than a quarter in 2000. Moreover, UK most spent in 2000 showing above 10 percent the same is true for the USA.At the final year, 2005, first two European countries spend about 20 percent of the budget whereas the UK less than one in ten, expenses of the USA constituted 15% .
