First and foremost, in 1958, 22% of the total amount was on housing; however. in 2008, that increased by 10% to become 32% in total. Moreover, the ratio of clothing was 32% in 1958, later on, it decreased by 20% in 2008, to become 12%. In addition, entertainment observed a slight decrement of 2%; in 1958 it was 18%; in 2008 it was 16%. The spending, in a European country for the food has increased from 8% to 17% with a variation of 8% from the year 1958 to 2008. Somehow, the money spent on transport/ travel has reduced with a difference of 7% in 50 years (from 1958 to 2008). Spending by the population on luxury goods has risen from 7% to 17%.
Lastly, spending on housing, luxury goods, and food has followed an increasing pattern, while the rest followed the opposite pattern.
