The two pie charts illustrates the proportions of British students at a university in England who were able to speak languages other than English in the years 2000 and 2010.
Overall the data shows that over the decade, the students who only spoke English decreased, while the percentages of speaking Spanish or other languages showed growth.
In 2000, from a large proportion of students 30% were able to speak only English. Spanish was spoken by 20% of the students, 15% of the students were of French speaking, German was spoken by 10%, and another 15% spoke a language other than French, Spanish, or German. Only 10% of students could speak two other languages apart from English.
