The charts illustrate the revenue of automobiles between 2015 and 2019 by three different brands, namely Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai, and the percentage of cars sold by kind.
Overall, the turnover of Toyota showed an upward trend, whereas a reserve pattern could be observed in the figures for Honda and Hyundai. In terms of car types, MPV accounted for the largest proportion to become the leading brand, while Sedans were the least popular on the whole table.
Toyota’s revenue experienced a steady increase, starting at around 0.8 billion dollars by 2015 before jumping significantly over three years and hitting a peak of around 2.9 billion in the final year. In contrast, the sale of Hyundai plummeted from approximately 3.8 billion to 1.8 billion in 2017 before recovering slightly to reach around 2.3 billion by the end of the period. Meanwhile, the figure for Honda recorded a gradual rise at the beginning of the period and reached a maximum of about 2.5 billion by 2017, followed by declining sharply at roughly 1.5 billion in 2019, which is lower than the initial level ( around 1.7 billion).
Regarding car types, the proportion of car sales by MPV made up the highest figure (35%), coming next with the data on SUV and Sportscar at 27% and 25%, respectively. By contrast, the figures for remaining patterns were both lower, however, Sedan represented the least common kind (3%), which was 7 percentage points smaller than that on Hatchback City Car (10%).
