On the whole, the general trend showed that the share held by Rolex remained at the top of both year. It also had a significant increase in percentage of shares in the Watch Market while other brands experienced a decrease in shares.
From the outset, the top three brands in the market in 2020 were Rolex Omega, and Cartier, with the proportion of 39.5%, 15.6%, and 14.5%, respectively. Additionally, the share that Rolex held increased dramatically to 46.7% in 2021. In contrast, Omega’s shares declined about 3.1% and Cartier lost it shares to 13.8%. This resulted in Cartier’s shares surpassed Omega’s.
In regard to other three brands remaining, which were Patek, Longines, and AP, their shares decreased by almost 1% in 2021, with Patek becoming the smallest brand to hold the proportion of shares in Swiss Watch Market. As such, the combined shares of them took only one-third of the market, which was less than that of Rolex.
