The charts compare two countries spending their money on 5 different energy sources which were consumed between 2000 and 2006. Units are measured in percentages.
It can be seen that the highest/biggest amount of energy was spent to on oil and coal, while the lowest consumed energy sources were by energy other renewable sources in 2000. However, by the year 2006, oil had significantly increased, whereas coal dramatically decreased and gas rose over the year.
According to the first graph, oil and coal were the most significant spending energy sources in the UK and in the USA making up about over 38% in oil and about 25% in coal, while these figures were about 30% in the UK. By 2006, the percentages for followed an increas at about 40% and 30% respectively. Both countries spend their the least amount of money on other renewable source of energy under 10%, but after 6 years they nearly remained the same level.
On the other hand, British government spent its less than budget on gas consumption at about under 20% compared to these percentages were lower in the USA approximately 15%. In the year 2006, the consuming nuclear power in the UK made up 10% and about 8% in the USA. Similarly, UK and USA energy consumption level had nearly same percentages in the production of other renewable sources about 10% in 2000 and under 10% in 2006.
