The graph compares six different developed countries in terms of their aid to developing countries between 2008 and 2010. Overall, while, the US, Germany and the UK showed big numbers, the reverse was true for Japan, Netherland and Sweden. Moreover, the US stood out among its counterparts with consistenly high figures.
Looking at the graph in more detail, the number of countries helped by US was about 22$ , after which it witnessed a slight decline by 2$ between 2008 and 2009. The figure saw a considerable growth to 25$ in the final year. The figure for Germany was about 10$ and this was followed by a gradual increase to 13$ and 15$ in 2009 and 2010 respectively. The number of countries helped by UK was 12$ in 2008 decresed to 11$ in 2009 and reached 13$ by 2010.
In contrast, the figure for Japan was 12$ but this was followed by a drop to 10$ between 2008 and 2009. In the final year, it saw a growth again to 11$. As for the Netherland, In 2008 Netherland’s aid was 5$, which increased to 8$ in 2009, but dip to 7$ in 2010. Lastly, Sweden’s help was 5$ in 2008 and then it rose to 8$ in 2009, but dip to 5$ again in the final year.
