The tables illustrate the volume of exported goods in tones passing through Holland’s Rotterdam port to differents countries in the world, and the percentage of taxes impossed to the importing state in the years 2002 and 2012.
Overall, there is a graduald decline in exports to USA,Europe,China and Latin America, and a slight increase in Asia Pacific and Australasia. On the other hand percentage of taxes imposed to various destinations flactuated.
It can be seen in 2002 Europe was the largest Export destination with 6.9 billion metric tones, followed by USA(4.2), China(2.4) and Latin America(1.8) billion tones. In 2012 the quintities exported to these countries declined gradually to 6.4, 3.9, 2.3 and 1.5 billion tones respectively. Contrastly, the exports to Asia pacifc and Australasia grew rapidly from 800 and 700 million tones to 2.55 and 2.3 billion tones respectively; while exports to other destinations remained contant in the same period.
Taxes levied on goods to USA, Asia pacific and Australasia dropped by 1%,3% and 3% respectively, while that of Europe, China and Latin America rose by 3%,2% and 1% in that order, the other destinations remained the same.
