The table compares the satisfaction levels of undergraduate and postgraduate students with two different user categories with three university facilities in the UK in 2004.
Overall, the postgraduate students recorded higher satisfaction levels for most aspects, except for study facilities in the bedroom. Similarly, they also had higher levels of dissatisfaction with most facilities, except for the university cafeteria.
In terms of the figure, the figure for study facilities in the bedroom in postgraduate students was 65%, 2 percentage points lower than that for undergraduate students. 15% of postgraduate students rated facilities as not at all satisfied, while the undergraduate students evaluating not at all satisfied made up around 26%. Regarding the university cafeteria, very satisfied accounted for almost 52% of all undergraduate students, while 32% of them were quite satisfied and 16% of them were dissatisfied. By contrast, the postgraduate students rating it as very satisfied made up 70% with only 3% of them were not at all satisfied.
In terms of social facilities, the majority of postgraduate ones evaluated very satisfied at 80%, the highest figure among the three facilities. By comparison, fewer than half of undergraduate students gave the same rating. Only 5% of postgraduates reported ones recorded the low satisfaction with facilities, compared with 30% of undergraduates.
