The pie charts illustrate the propotion distribution of World Forest and Timber in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America.

Overall, while NA is the largest timber production, Africa takes the lead in world’s forest but it produces the least timber output. Moreover, other regions show the a higher percentage of timber than their forests.

According to the pie chart, both NA and Africa comprise the largest propotion of global forest, with 25% and 27%, respectively. However, while NA occupies the strongest position in timber with a third, only 9% is produced by Africa.

Regarding the other regions, there is the similar trends where the percentages of timber is always higher than the world forest proportions. Although the SA’s forest rate is only 16%, the figure for timber production is 23%. Similarly, only 18% of timber is in Europe, whereas one fifth of world’s forest is located in Europe. Furthermore, Asia follows the same trends, accounting for 18% of timber and 14% share of the world’s forest.
