In terms of world forest, 27% of the world forest is located in Africa, which is the highest figure. This is followed by North America, where one-fourth of the forests are. The other three regions, namely South America, Asia, and Europe, account for 16%, 18%, and 14%, respectively.
Regarding the percentage of timber, North America is noted to have the largest quantity of timber, accounting for 30% of the total. South America and Europe are in the next two positions, holding 23% and 20%, respectively. Africa is the location that has the smallest figure, at 9%, which is half the number for Asia.
