Two graphs describe the information about dance classes for young people in an Australian town. The pie chart shows the location occurrence rate for such studios. While the stacked bar chart shows the distribution of types of classes the youth attend, split by age groups.
Regarding location breakdown, private studios account for nearly half of the overall industry. Coming in second place are clubs located in school halls, which account for 24% of the sector. Third and fourth place belong to community halls and college-based studios, representing 18% and 10% respectively.
All three categories seem to be almost equally popular in terms of overall attendance, attracting in average 800 people each. However, ballet is the most popular among the “Under 11” age group, with nearly 600. Meanwhile, modern dance leads in the category of older teenagers at the age of 11 to 16 years. Tap dance appears to be the most age-neutral activity, with a roughly equivalent number of participants from both age groups, approaching 400 in each.
