Overall, it is evident that houses and apartments consumed water the most. Moreover, regarding residential water use, an appreciable amount of water was used in bathroom and garden in Australia in 2004.
As for the pie chart, residential use, including houses and apartments, held the largest lion’s share among consumers involved, accounting for 70%. This figure was much higher than industrial and business water use, with 11% for the former and 10% for the latter. Additionally, government and other purposes only made up a negligible proportion of total water usage, at 6% and 3% respectively.
As for the bar chart, the percentage of residential water use in garden was the highest, at 28%, closely followed by that in bathroom ( 27%). Households consumed 20% of total water usage for washing clothes, which was 5% higher than the figure for activities in toilet. Moreover, 10% of total residential water use was used for activities in kitchen.
