The first chart illustrates the consumption of fast foods in three income groups, people with high income tends to spend more on fast food than middle or low income groups, the second chart shows a comparison between three fast food items, fish and chips were the dominant option for people in the past, now days it is hamburgers.
It appears that the high income people eat 42 pounds of fast foods per month, which is the highest among the three groups. People earning average income consumes about 33 pounds of junk-food each month, while the low income individuals consumes 14 pounds each month, making them the lowest in the comparison.
In the second chart, fish and chips were the main option for people at 300 grammes in 1990, later falling to 220 grammes to become the lowest eaten food amongst the three in 2010, hamburgers started at less than 100 grammes in 1990, later to become the highest eaten food at 530 grammes in 2010,pizza startes the lowest at 40 grammes then climbing to the second place at 300 grammes in 2010.
