Overall, Sweden had the highest proportion of internet users, while the UK recorded the highest average spending on online shopping. In contrast, Spain had the lowest figures in both categories.
In terms of internet usage, Sweden had the largest percentage of users, with around 36% of the population accessing the internet. The UK followed with approximately 23%, while Germany had a slightly lower figure at about 15%. France and Spain were behind, with roughly 12% and 5% respectively.
When it comes to average spending on online shopping, the UK topped the list at €87 per person. Germany came next with €76, and Sweden stood at €57. Meanwhile, the average spending in France was €46, and Spain again ranked lowest with only €30 per person.
