The pie charts compare the main methods of transportation that people using to travel to a particular university in 2004 and 2009.
In general, the figure for car used by undergraduates declined significantly, whereas the other transportation were more popular. In addition, the usage of train was the lowest proportion during the given period.
In 2004, the percentage of car accounted for a half of the types of transportation chosen by students to travel to a university while roughly a third of communicating option belonged to bus, at 33,3%. Meanwhile, the figures for bicycle, train and walking remained a low level, under 10% each of those.
In 2006, because of car parking charges built in the university, the number of people commuted by car decreased dramatically which dropoed to 28% in 2009. In contrast, there was new bus stop construted in 2008, a considerable rise of 46% in the figure for bus in 2009. At the same time, the percentage of students opted for commuting by bicyle, train and walking slightly increased, 16%, 4% anf 6%, respectively.
