Two different pie charts illustrate the section of 4 types of transportation as bus, bicycle, car, train and walking used for reaching university for education or job between 2004 and 2009.
Overall, what stands out from the data is that car and bus account for the largest portion, while others are the smallest. Over the passing of years, after university’s parking spot for cars replaced in 2008 and new bus stop was provided two years before that, there has been a notable shift with bus usage overtaking car usage.
The leading vehicle is being used as a university transportation is private car. In 2004, the figure for cars preferred 51%, but after new car parking and bus station then it continue to decrease, and stop in 28%, while, bus usage rose slightly from 33% to 46% in the end of given period.
In more details, other options such as cycling, train and walking went up slightly during the five years. Regarding the changes in 2009, train use and walking rates increased by 1% and 2% respectively. Moreover, the percentage of bicycle preference almost doubled from 9% to 16% from 2004 to 2009.
