In general, the most notable features is the rise in tablets sales, which are projected to triple over the next two decades.By contrast, it is anticipated that there will be a dramatic fall in speakers sales, but smartphones is expected to increase over time and become the largest fraction of the pie chart by the 2040.
In 2020, speaker comprised for the biggest segment of digital devices purchased, which made up just above a third of the total sales. However, it is expected to decline dramatically to 10% in 2040. Whereas, there is a growing trend in tablets sales. They are forecasted to rise significantly from 10% to 30%.
By the year 2040, smart watches sales is estimated to remain the same at 10%. According to the data, computers purchases is predicted to drop significantly from 15% to just 5%. On the other hand, smartphones purchases is projected to increase by less than a fifth, from 30% to 45%.
