The two charts given illustrates the information about the top three countries that exported pineapples worldwide between the years 2009 and 2019 and the price rate at which it was distributed to the consumers in 2019.
Overall, we can see that the first chart shows that the country A has the made the largest export of pineapples and country C made the least contribution over that time period. Further, the second chart depicts that there was more expenditure on the distribution and retail segment, and a low rate on the exports costs.
In the year 2009 to 2019, it was observed that country A exported below 2 million tonnes, however it increased significantly in the year 2019 to almost 10 million tonnes. Country B showed a relative decline over the time frame, starting at exporting around 4 million tonnes which was greater than country A in 2009, then dropping to somewhere less than 2 million. Whereas, country C did not have much of a rise over the period, it remained low when compared to the other countries.
The breakdown of the price to the consumers in 2019, depicted that largest division of cost was spent on distribution and retail by 35%, followed by an 18% on profit, and a 16% on taxes. The spending on other requirements like the export and import costs, producing and international transport of the pineapples was relatively lesser when compared to the top three rates.
