The charts illustrate the proportion of females and males in a country who attend household chores, and show the average time each gender allocates on each task per day.
Overall, cooking and cleaning are the two tasks that were performed by the largest percentage of men and women, also the two tasks that men and women spent the most time performing.
Looking at the percentage of males and females who do housework, just over 80 percent of women do cooking, compared to around 60 percent of men. Similarly, while the percentage of women who do cleaning are 60, the figure for men stood at 40. In the percentage of people who do pet care, both genders attend the same percent, at just over 20, while the data of men who do house repairs double than that of women, at approximately around 18 percent.
In terms of average time they spend on each task, females and males both use much time on cooking, with 80 and 60 percent respectively. The average time females spend for cleaning is about 68 percent, while males only spend around 45 percent on this. Pet care activity is the task that both genders spend equal time, at 20 percent, while the time men do house repairs is still double than that of women, at approximately 18 percent.
