The line graph illustrates the clothing export values from Colombia, Japan, and Myanmar between 1990 and 2013. The values are represented in millions of dollars.
Overall, while Colombia and Japan experienced relatively stable trends, Myanmar saw dramatic fluctuations in its clothing exports over the period.
In 1990, Myanmar had no exports, lagging behind Colombia and Japan, which had exports of around 500 million and 550 million dollars, respectively. Over the next ten years, Myanmar’s exports increased sharply, reaching a peak of approximately 910 million dollars in 2011. However, the following year, Myanmar experienced a rapid decline in exports, ending the period with a slight increase to around 410 million dollars in 2013.
In contrast, Japan and Colombia did not see such dramatic changes. At the beginning of the period, Japan’s exports were about 50 million dollars higher than Colombia’s. Over the next ten years, Japan’s exports decreased slightly while Colombia saw a moderate rise. In 2011, both countries experienced growth in clothing exports. However, Japan’s exports then began to gradually decline, while Colombia’s exports remained relatively stable towards the end of the period.
