The given pictures depict the transformation of the road tunnels in Australian cities.
In general, it is noticeable that there are a lot of differences between the two tunnels about size, cost and the built time.
Looking at the first picture in more detail, from 1986 to 1998, people set up a large tunnel under the ground which had four lanes. It takes 555 million dollars for the whole process of building. About the size, the road tunnel is 1,5 meters high and 2,2 kilometers long.
Turning to the remaining picture, people constructed another underground road tunnel in 2002 to 2006, which had more 2 lanes compared to the first one. Furthermore, the cost of it doubled to 1,1 billion dollars because it is larger than the road tunnel in the first picture. In addition, the height of it is 2,5 meters and the length reaches 3,6 kilometers .
