The 9-step recycling progress of plastic bottles is illustrated in the given diagram. A plastic bottle’s span can be broken down into three parts generally: firstly it is used to contain liquid, then is recycled to raw material and finally is turned into a new product.
First of all, consumers take used bottles to designated bins. All used bottled then are picked by rubbish trucks and are delivered to a recycling center for a further process. In here, plastic bottles are sorted out based on their recyclable ability, after that, the chosen bottles are compressed into big cube blocks in order to grind them more easily. After being crushed into small pieces, these pieces are poured into a washing basin automatically.
In the next step, the workers have to operate a pellets-making machine to transform the clean plastic pieces into piles of plastic pellets. In the final step of a recycling process, the pellets are heated from under to be ready to be contributed material for a new product, such as food containers, t-shirts, pencils, plastic bags,…
