The two maps compare the layout of a small local museum and its surroundings in two different years: 1957 and 2007. Overall, it is clearly apparent that the museum significantly expanded and its surrounddings had a considerable changes.
In 1957, the local museum had a simple design with three basic sections. From entrance hall, there was a small local history room in the left and a museum store-room in the right of the map. Furthemore, there were two door for each room. A large national history exhibition was located in front of the entrance hall. About its surroundings, it is evident that there was a enormous garden with a wide range of tree. In the south, a path was constructed to connect road and the local museum. Moreover, there were two lines of trees: a line with small trees in the left of the path and other with bigger trees in the opposite.
Looking to the map in 2007, there were lots of significant changes in museum and its surroundings, adding more modern facilities. Notably, the museum was dramaticly expanded in size, with more sections. In the north, there were two areas: education centre in the right and special exhibitions in the left. In the central, a large local history room was built and linked to reception in the south. In the southwestern corcer, a new cofffee shop was added to cater visitors. there was a brand new museum shop to the left of the reception and the entrance was connected to the museum shop. Regarding the surroundings, the tress was cut down, causing less trees. Finally, a new car park lot was formed in the southwestern corner.
