The two diagrams illustrate the changes made to a small local museum and its surroundings between 1957 and 2007.
Overall, the museum became more modern and visitor-oriented in 2007, with the replacement of green spaces by facilities such as a car park, café, and reception area. While the basic museum structure remained, many internal rooms were modified or replaced.
In 1957, the museum was surrounded by numerous trees and featured a garden on the left side. The entrance was located in the centre, leading directly to a local history room and a national history exhibition. Additionally, a storeroom was situated at the back of the museum.
By 2007, most of the surrounding trees had been removed, and a large car park was added at the front. The entrance was relocated to the left-hand side of the building, now opening into a reception area. The local history room remained, but the national history exhibition and storeroom were replaced by a café, an education centre, and a special exhibitions room. A museum shop was also introduced beside the reception.
Despite several changes, the garden in the top-left corner and the local history room were preserved across both years.
