By 2010, the area had undergone major changes. The park and school were replaced by a science park and museum, as well as a hotel and spa and several shops along the river. The former farmland and farmhouse were removed to make way for a science academy and large science laboratories. Furthermore, a hi-tech centre was constructed to the east of Tumbledown, while the wood remained, although it became smaller.
