The given diagram illustrates the differences of a small local museum and its surrounding between 1957 and 2007.
Overall, it can be seen that the museum and its ground recorded a large number of changes and the most substantial of both maps are the destruction of trees in the garden and the expansion of the museum’s size.
In 1957, it is noticeable that the museum was be bordered by vegetation on all of the sides while in the next 50 years, almost of the trees have been removed. Instead, the museum is broadened. In the last 50 years, the main road was lined with trees and the museum was accessed by a winding path, in 2007 it cannot be seen. Furthermore, there is a new car park for the customers who visit the museum.
In 2007, the museum has more rooms and some of that has been supersede such as replacing the museum store-room into the café. Moreover, the national history exhibition is the largest room of the museum in 1957 but since 2007, it was replaced by two different rooms, special exhibitions and education centre. The entrance has been located in front of the museum shop and next to this room there is a new reception. The local history room remains the same, the only difference is that it increases in size.
