The maps compare the location and surroundings of a particular museum between 1957 and 2007.
Overall, the local museum was reconstructed to be more spacious and versatile throughout the given period. Moreover, its surrounding garden became less green due to the significant loss of trees.
In 1957, there was a small path connecting the main road with the museum entrance hall. In the left corner of the map, two clusters of pine trees were planted, with a row of smaller ones located on the left-hand side of the path. Moreover, the main building of the museum was flanked by various types of green trees. After entering the main hall, visitors could see the largest room directly opposite it, the national history exhibition. Two smaller rooms were positioned on either side of the main door, with the museum storeroom on the right and the local history room on the left.
Fifty years later, the area at the bottom of the map had been demolished to make way for an open parking lot in the right corner. The garden surroundings had largely been removed, with only two trees remaining in the northwest corner of the map. In 2007, going through the main entrance, visitors could directly access to the museum shop, which was adjacent to the reception and a new recreational room—a coffee shop, respectively, in the south of the map. This reception was opened and linked with the local history room in the middle, which was expanded. Finally, new special exhibitions and an education center were built at the top of the museum.
