The given maps illustrate the transformation of the local museum and its surroundings between 1957 and 2007. From the maps, it is clear that the museum became more developed and convenient, cutting down some trees while expanding the area and providing more options for education and rest activities.
In 1957, the museum was surrounded by a garden. There was a road running from west to east and was lined with rows of trees. In the north of the building, the entrance hall leads to the main exhibition area: a national history exhibition. On the left-hand side, there was a local history room. On the opposite side, a museum store room was built.
Fifty years later, the most notable change was the construction of the building. The Garden was chopped down by some of trees to expand the area of the building. The national history room was replaced by two small rooms: Special exhibitions and education center. The local history room was expanded and moved to the middle of redesigned museum. Reception and a Café were established parallel the local ancient room and the museum shop was moved beside the main area. Additionally, the garden area was reduced to accommodate a car park to the south of the museum.
In conclusion, the comparison between 1957 and 2007 shows that the museum transformed from a simple structure with basic features into a more complex facility with various new rooms and services. These changes make the museum more modern and convenient for visitors.
