The presented figure shows the steps involved in recycling plastic bottles.
Overall, it can be clearly understood that this is a circular process. By looking at the whole diagram, the total process consists of nine stages.Starting from throwing away the plastic and ending with producing new products.
In the first stage, people take out plastic bottles. Then these bottles are taken and delivered to the recycling centre by the garbage truck,where they go through sorting. Following this, they are compressed into blocks. Next, compacted plastic blocks are crushed and washed.
After washing,remains of plastic bottles pass through a specialised equipment for producing plastic pellets. At step 7 , these pellets are heated in order to form raw material. When raw material is formed, it is used to make new products. This process begins as soon as these products are thrown away again.
