These pictures illustrate the way how plastic bottles are recycled.
Overall, it is a cyclical process, which consists of 9 steps, starting with throwing plastic bottles in trash and ending with producing end products.
The first step is the plastic bottles are thrown in recycling bins by people. These bins are collected by tracks and transported to a recycling center. Once the plastic bottles have been transported to a center, they are sorted manually and then recycling bottles are separated from unsuitable waste. The selected bottles are compressed into blocks.
The process continues with crushing of compressed blocks. When the blocks have been crushed, small pellets are washed in water. After being washed, plastic pellets are produced in special machine. The pellets are heated before forming raw material. From blocks of raw materials, end products such as containers, t-shirts, pencils and etc. are produced.
