The process diagram states the process of creating a biofuel called ethanol. Overall, there are eight steps to create ethanol. The first step is harvesting the plants and the final one is when vehicles use ethanol to make carbon dioxide.
The process starts from plants that are grown with energy (sunlight and carbon dioxide), the group of plants are mostly from trees and crops. At first, the plants are then harvested by people using heavy equipment as seen in the diagram, then the harvested plants are then entered to the pre-processing area where the cellulose is extracted from the plants. After that the cellulose is given to the chemist where they use chemicals to extract the sugar from the cellulose and then add microbes that would use the sugar as medium to create ethanol.
Subsequently Ethanol is then used to fuel transportations such as cars, trucks, and airplanes. These vehicles then create carbon dioxide which is used to grow plants as it is one of the two main energy sources of it. All in all, it is a cycle where people harvest plants to create fuel, which then is used so it creates carbon dioxide.
