The given diagram illustrates the process of constructing a modern household landfill.
Overall, there are essentially three main stages in this process, beginning with making a large hold, and ending with the installment of many necessary equipment into these hole.
In the construction stage, firstly, construction workers dig a large hold deep into the natural rock layer. When its depth reaches an appropriate level, the clay layer and synthetic lining are respectively spread on the surface of the landfill. Noticeably, the small drainage tank is fitted in under the landfill to store the amount of water that the garbage broke down. Meanwhile, the drainage pipes are also added to lead water to the storage tank. Moving to the next stage, once the new landfill is completed, it will be put to use, with numerous piles of household trash is poured in everyday.
Finally, in the closure stage, when its capacity is full, it will be covered by a large clay cover. Moreover, it is worth noting that gas piles is also added to make the decomposition progress become faster, and a large amount of garbage is spilled out.
