The diagram illustrates the step-by-step process of obtaining a driving license in the US.
The procedure involves five stages beginning with filling in the forms and finishing with doing the road exam
The first step is that the driver’s license application forms are filled out by candidates after arriving at the driving license center. Following this, a vision test is organized and those who successfully pass may proceed with the process, whereas individuals who failed will be disqualified and receive no license.
After completing the examination, candidates are required to pay a fee for the following exam.
Subsequently, candidates must participate in the written examination. Individuals who do not pass the exam may retake it for free up to two times and if successful they will be allowed to participate in the road exam. If they fail the written test after three attempts, they will be required to pay a fee before retaking the written examination once more. Conversely, drivers who may complete the written test on their first time can immediately do the practical exam. Finally, candidates who pass the road test may obtain the driving license. However, if they fail the exam, they must pay the fees again and retake both examinations.
