The process diagram illustrates the total number of stages for the production of fabric.
Overall, the creation of various clothing accessoriesfabric is a nine-stage process. It starts with growing of a mature bamboo plant and ends with the manufacturing of shirts or pairs of socks. The key features included are the involvement of water and amine oxide, as well as the crushing of strips into cylinder-shaped pieces.
In the initial stages, bamboo is grown throughout spring until it becomes a mature plant. Then, around the period of autumn, workers harvest the plant by using a machete to cut the stem and leaves from the base to meet the minimum requirement needed for the production process. Consequently, an automatic saw is used to pierce right through the stem and to cut it into fairly evenly sized pieces of strips to be collected. As a result, several strips are crushed by various methods to obtain a liquid pulp, which undergoes filtration by adding the solution through a funnel with filter paper to collect the residue. This allows separation between the liquid and long fibres that are needed to complete the process.
In the remaining stages, the fibres are left to be soften by the application of both water and amine oxide, eventually turning into a fluffy cloud shape. To continue, the fibres are spun around in a circular motion to create a ball of yarn that can be offered to businesses or customers. Therefore, the whole yarn could be used as a tool to help weave certain products, as it produces fabric, and at the end, clothes that can be sold in stores and markets.
