The demonstrated diagram depicts the production process of glass containers mainly bottles and the phases involved in the recycling of bottles.
Overall, the glass production process encompasses a four stage linear process, which commence with the mixing of different chemicals and concludes with the packaging of glass containers. Recycling on the other hand, involves various phases, which starts with the collection of glass and ends with framing into new products.
First of all, necessary ingredients such as sand, soda ash, limestone and other chemicals are mixed and then melted by glass furnace at 1500 degree C approximately, before it is shaped by a molten glass blowing in order to ensure the required size for the containers. Following that, glass containers are produced and then packed before been transported to various shops.
Recycling the glass starts with the collection of used glass from various places and it then sorted based on the color of the glass. After that, the glass are washed to remove the dirtiness, before it is crushed and melted. Finally, the glass are framed into new products and made ready for sale.
