The picture given illustrates the extraction of oil in perfume production.

By and large, it is noticable that there are total four main stages involved, begining with producing hot steam and ending with collecting essential oil and aromatic water.

In the first steps, the water is heated to generate steam. Then, it is transported to a larger vessel contains aromatic plants. Next, the enclosed boiler extracts oil from plant. Its products which are steam and oil vapor are transported to another chamber.

During the third stage of the process, the mixture goes through a condenser system with cold and hot water at the bottom and the top of the container. The last steps is for essential oil and hydrolat are separated from the solvent in a large machine to remove impurities.
