The diagram illustrates how the Australian of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute data on the weather in order to produce reliable forecast.
Overall, the process of making forecast was divided by four groups which are incoming information, anaylsis & forecasting, preparing the broadcast and broadcast. The start with collecting information from satelite, radar and drifting buoy and ended with broadcasting the forecast on tv, radio, and recorded announcement.
First, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology received incoming informations were analyzed. Satelite representing the information into satelite photo, radar screen, and synoptic chart. Radar transforming the information into radar screen and synoptic chart. Meanwhile, Drifting buoy only forecasting through synoptic chart.
Moving to the next step, Satelite photo, radar screen and synoptic chart, each result of anaylsis & forecasting are preparing to produce a broadcast. Finally, People can watch the weather forecast, informations are ready to broadcast into TV news reader, radio and recorded announcement.
