A closer look at the diagram highlight the fact that there are three main stages invloved in this process, beginning with mined coal, followed by various manufacturing steps, and ending with electricity used for different purposes.
At the first stage, coal are mined and undergoes a crusher. Then, it is placed on a mine cart prior to be delivery to the gasifier by a truck. Once arrived the gasifier, this coal is heated to produce gas. This gas is deliveried to a distinct facility and continued on the cooling process, waste heat can be created here. At the following step, the cooled gas are cleaned before ready to transport to another gas power plant where electricity is formed and it could bring waste heat during this process. At the final stage, electricity is transported to serve for industrial and residential purposes.
