The process describes the steps involved in the production of orange juice.
From an overall perspective, it is clear that orange juice, which is available in supermarkets, can be produced either directly from fresh oranges or from concentrated juice. Depending on the packaging—whether labeled as direct fresh juice or concentrated juice—the production methods differ.
The process begins with fresh oranges being transported to factories. After being washed, they are fed into an extractor. The rinds and other solid waste are still useful, as they can be used to feed animals. Once extracted, the fresh juice is ready and is packed for distribution to supermarkets.
In addition to being used directly by consumers, fresh juice can also be transported in refrigerated trucks for evaporation, which allows for the production of concentrated juice in cans. By choosing this method, the cans can be sent to warehouses. When the concentrated juice is mixed with water, orange juice is then ready to be packaged and distributed for sale.
