From an overall perspective, it can be easily seen that the process is divided into two phases: the first deals with thorough filtration, while the second involves post-treatment and integration of pure water into a supply system.
The first stage is initiated when salt water is transported into special equipment through a pipe. At this point, the liquid should be filtered to purify water molecules from impurities, which are pumped back to the sea. Then, water is forced through the membrane at high pressure, thus the remaining seawater concentrate is removed and returns to the sea.
The next phase begins with further processing, when water is enriched with lime, chlorine, and fluoride in a separate compartment. It is followed by storage. After that, it can flow into a water supply system.
