The image shows the process of collecting and processing up-to-date weather information using 3 different tools that produces accurate forecasts by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology and aslo various channels used to broadcast this information to the public.
The first tool used to obtain weather information is a satellite located in space that is used to capture information, which then produces satellite photos. The second tool used to obtain weather information is radar. In addition, radar can get information from satellites and produce radar screens from the data collected. The third tool, which uses floating buoys to collect information to produce synoptic charts. Satellite photos, radar screens, and synoptic charts are used to analyse and forecast the weather.
Weather predictions are prepared using computers by collecting all the information. The analysed weather information is then disseminated to the public through various media, namely television broadcasts, radio announcements, and pre-recorded messages.
