The process demonstrates how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather to give reliable forecast to people.
Overall, the process consists of three main stages, beginning with collecting incoming information bby using special machines, followed by analyzing and preparing the broadcast and finally, ending with broadcasting through TV, radio and recorded phones.
In the first stage, there are three ways to collect information and also three ways of analysis. Initially, the incoming information is received by satellite and presented as satellite photo, then the same information passes through the radar station which also provided on radar screen. Secondly, the same data can be also collected by drifting buoys and gained information transmitted into synoptic chart.
Once selected , all information is fed into a computer system to prepare the reliable broadcast. Finally, the analyzed forecast is disseminated to the public via Television broadcasts, radio, and recording phone announcements.
