In the diagram below are shown all the action made by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to collect upto the minute informations on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.
To begin with, informations are gathered towards the usage of 3 different means: a satellite, a radar and a drifting buoy. Afterthis, informations need to be analysed and forecasted, so if they come from a satellite are displayed either on satellite photo or sent to a radar which represents them on a radar screen after. Moreover, data collected by a radare are also displayed on a synoptic chart as well as the one coming from the buoy.
When the collection process comes to an end, whole data pictures are sent to a computer that make them usable to being broadcasted to all means of communication, like television, radio and telephone, where the data are trasmitted as recorded announcment.
Overall the process is mainly based on three step and involves different objects to get informations and several ways which towards are analysed and forecasted and then broadcasted.
